Towerlands Park is host to almost weekly indoor & outdoor show jumping competitions, throughout the year, from national through to international level.
Towerlands Park was host to the televised Sports Relief fundraising celebrity show jumping competition 'Only Fools On Horses' & also manages to raise substantial funds each year for the BBC Children in Need Appeal. The Children in Need yearly event coincides with the Unex Masters, which is one of only 5 international show jumping competitions held in the UK each year.
The state of the art computer irrigated & drained Outdoor Arena (100m x 120m) can easily hold two full sized competition jumping rings with ample warm up areas. The natural amphitheatre setting makes for easy spectator viewing & its close proximity to the huge hard standing lorry park, with electric hook ups for 70 vehicles, the bars, restaurants & coffee shop make it a comfortable & social venue for competitors & spectators alike. The International Indoor Arena (60m x 30m) can seat over 800 spectators & is overlooked by three VIP restaurants. The extensive show ground facilities provide permanent grass arenas whether it be for training purposes or full competitions. The stabling complex, with permanent stabling for 121 horses & with room for a further 473 temporary stables, allows any sized show jumping event to be staged with ease. The whole site is serviced with 24 hour digital CCTV cameras for added peace of mind.
